Softfall surfacing runs from about $60/m² for sand or mulch, up to $110/m² for synthetic turf and $160/m² for wet-pour rubber, supplied and installed. Depth is set by AS 4422 to keep the Head Injury Criterion at 1000 or below for your equipment's fall height under AS 4685 — get this right and you've addressed the biggest safety risk on site.
