Our play equipment meets and/or exceeds all Australian Safety Standards for playgrounds, including AS 4685 “Playground Equipment” (general safety requirements plus the part-specific requirements for swings, slides, runways, carousels, rocking equipment and spatial networks), AS 4685.0:2017 “Development, installation, inspection, maintenance and operation”, and AS 4422 “Playground surfacing”.

We provide a 10 Year Structural Guarantee on our play equipment. Kidzspace undertakes to remedy any defect in materials or workmanship by repairing or replacing any item that proves defective within the applicable guarantee period, with due allowance for normal wear and tear on a pro-rata basis.

Outdoor playgrounds

• 10 year guarantee on all galvanised structural steel parts, platforms, uprights and other steel components
• 5 year guarantee on all plastic, reinforced polyester resin, timber, rubber and rope components
• 2 year guarantee on all moving parts

Coastal installations (near a body of water)

• 5 year guarantee on steel, plastic, resin, timber, rubber and rope components
• 1 year guarantee on all moving parts

Indoor playgrounds

• 10 year guarantee on galvanised structural steel, platforms, uprights and other steel components
• 5 year guarantee on plastic, reinforced polyester resin, timber, rubber and rope components
• 1 year guarantee on moving parts, foam and netting

The warranty applies from the date the order is received for the periods above, and only where products have been installed according to Kidzspace instructions and maintained according to Kidzspace guidelines. Warranty claims must be made directly to Kidzspace with proof of purchase and documentation of proper installation and maintenance.

The guarantees do not cover: cosmetic defects such as scratches, dents or paint fade; damage due to fire, water, vermin or insect infestation, vandalism, corrosion, improper shipment, incorrect installation, misuse, exposure to extreme weather or environmental conditions, or lack of maintenance; theft; or circumstances beyond Kidzspace’s control. Timber exposed to the weather may crack, distort and weather to some degree and is excluded where structural integrity is not unduly affected.

Wet pour rubber: some colours of top-layer rubber may temporarily discolour (a yellowing caused by UV reaction with the polyurethane binder) which fades with sunlight and foot traffic. We do not warrant colour change, damage to freshly poured rubber by animals or birds, or shrinkage of rubber from fixed edges.

Near-water installations: products in direct contact with chlorinated or salt water, or installed within 200 metres of the shore, are not covered for defects caused by corrosion unless upgraded to zinc-coating corrosion protection (and then only against structural failure, excluding moving parts, for no longer than 10 years). In corrosive environments we strongly recommend regularly washing equipment with clean water.

A part is covered only for the original warranty period; the warranty on a repaired or replaced part expires with the original period. Alterations, modifications or additions by an unauthorised person, or not in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, void the warranty. Where a claim is accepted, Kidzspace pays transport costs for the return of defective products (when returned in accordance with our written instructions) and for the delivery of repaired or replaced products, but not labour costs for removal or installation.

Designs are created specifically to meet your needs. Many components can be swapped with others from our range, and colours can be tailored — talk to us about any changes you’d like.

Unless otherwise stated on your quote: 50% deposit on acceptance of the quote, 30% progress payment prior to dispatch, and the remaining 20% due within 7 days of completion of installation. A tax invoice is supplied on despatch of goods. Installed products remain the property of Kidzspace until the account is paid in full. Our payment terms do not include agreement to any liquidated damages or retention fees.

Overdue accounts: we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at 1.5% per calendar month, and to pass overdue accounts to a collection agency with recovery costs added to the original account.

Equipment manufacture lead time is typically 12–14 weeks from quote acceptance and deposit to the start of installation, subject to change depending on demand, install location and availability. The installation date is confirmed after manufacture. While every endeavour is made to accommodate specific dates, successful installation depends on fine weather and installation team availability. Kidzspace reserves the right to cost recovery where works are interrupted by forces outside our control (extended inclement weather, natural disasters, or civil or legal intervention).

Quotations assume the area is cleared and unencumbered. No allowance is made for rock or hard digging; if encountered, an additional charge may apply. Unless otherwise stated, no allowance is made for site preparation including drainage, levelling, security, sediment control or re-turfing/rectification of unavoidable damage to access ways. If a site is not ready for installation as arranged, we reserve the right to charge for additional time.

Service lines: digging may encounter services such as drainage, water, electricity, sewer, gas and phone lines. While Kidzspace can conduct a Dial Before You Dig search, we take no responsibility for the repair or relocation of existing service lines discovered or damaged during our work. The customer is responsible for these services and must notify us of their existence and location before work commences.

Security: Kidzspace is not liable for costs to repair damage due to vandalism during the installation process — if vandalism may be an issue, contact us to discuss options. Our equipment uses tamper-resistant Torx bolts with rounded heads for vandal resistance and safety.

Quotations are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of quotation. All designs and drawings forming part of a proposal are commercial-in-confidence and copyright remains the property of Kidzspace Playgrounds. No part of a quote may be reproduced, and no licence is given to use any plan or design, without the prior consent of Kidzspace Playgrounds.

Kidzspace maintains a Work Health and Safety Management System aligned with AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001, applying to all workers, contractors and visitors on any site we manage. Site-specific safety management plans, safe work method statements (SWMS) and risk assessments are conducted prior to commencement of works as required, with a hazard-reporting process reviewed continually by the site manager. We are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally aware and responsible manner, minimising impact on flora, fauna, sensitive areas and sites of heritage importance.

On completion, Kidzspace works through an inspection checklist (as-constructed particulars, site safety, under-surfacing, cosmetics, equipment installation, accessories, freestanding and fitness equipment, shade structures) and arranges a handover inspection with you, providing all relevant handover and compliance documentation.
