Specifications

The Orbit Swing is a single-post basket swing that delivers full-size swing motion from a remarkably small footprint. A curved galvanised steel arm cantilevers out over the seat, doing away with the second upright and overhead beam of a conventional swing bay, so the unit drops neatly into courtyards, pocket parks, tight corners and infill spaces where a full swing set simply will not fit. The generous circular basket seat is strung with a woven rope web and hung on four chains, giving children a soft, supportive surface to sit upright, lie back or share with a friend. Because the basket carries several children at once, it encourages the co-operative, side-by-side swinging that inclusive playspaces are built around, and it suits children who need to lie down or be supported rather than grip a strap seat. Suited to children aged 6 years and over through to teenagers, the Orbit Swing is a strong fit for schools, childcare centres, council parks and hospitality venues, and its compact plan makes it an easy addition to an existing playspace. The galvanised steel post and arm are built for Australian conditions and full sun, and the swing is manufactured to AS 4685 with a 7.5m diameter safety zone and a 1.45m free height of fall for softfall design under AS 4422. Supplied with in-ground footing details and installed Australia-wide by our own team.

Common questions

What age is the Orbit Swing suitable for?

The Orbit Swing is designed for 6+ years.

Is the Orbit Swing safe and Australian-standards compliant?

Yes. Like all Kidzspace equipment, it's designed and built to AS 4685, with softfall surfacing to AS 4422 matched to its 1.45m fall height. Independent certification is available on request.

How much space do I need for the Orbit Swing?

Allow for its safety zone of 7.5m diameter — this includes the clear, softfall-surfaced fall area around the equipment.

Do you deliver and install the Orbit Swing across Australia?

Yes — we design, deliver and install nationwide with our own team, and hand over full compliance certification at completion.

Can the Orbit Swing be customised?

Colours and theming can be tailored to suit your site or brand — talk to us about the options.

How much does the Orbit Swing cost?

Your final price is a fixed quote tailored to your site, surfacing and installation — request a free quote for an exact figure.

What's included in the price?

Every fixed-price quote is itemised and covers the equipment, compliant softfall surfacing (AS 4422), site preparation, delivery, installation by our own crew, and independent compliance certification at handover. Optional extras like shade sails, fencing and landscaping are quoted as separate line items so you can see exactly where your budget goes.

How long does delivery and installation take?

We'll turn around a free 2D/3D concept design within a week or two of your brief. Custom-manufactured equipment then typically takes around 10–12 weeks to build — our in-stock Quick Supply range skips that wait entirely. Installation itself usually takes 3–14 days depending on the scope. All up, most projects run 8–16 weeks from enquiry to completed installation.

What warranty applies?

25 years on hot-dip galvanised structural steel, 15 years on powder-coated steel, HDPE, HPL and timber, 10 years on stainless steel and platforms, 5 years on plastic, rubber, rope and springs, and 2 years on moving parts and bearings.
