Specifications
Captains Cove is a pirate ship playground built around a run-aground shipwreck. A timber-look hull with portholes and a curled stern rises out of the ground at one end, a mast with a crow's nest and red pennant marks the other, and a multi-level fort deck sits between them under wave-shaped shade canopies. The whole structure is themed for storytelling, so children arrive already knowing what to do with it.
Three separate slides give the deck three different exits — an enclosed spiral slide, a wide open slide and a fully enclosed tube slide — so a group can keep moving without queuing at a single point. Getting back up is just as varied: stairs with handrails, a moulded rock-climbing wall and a cross-brace climbing panel each suit a different level of confidence. Underneath the deck, crawl-through porthole tunnels and shaded nooks create quieter spaces for smaller groups, while cubby windows and steering panels support the imaginative play that keeps children coming back to a themed unit long after a plain climb-and-slide has lost its novelty.
Captains Cove is built from UV-stable HDPE panels on a galvanised steel frame, finished for Australian outdoor conditions and designed for low maintenance across schools, childcare centres, councils and hospitality venues. It suits ages 4 and up and works well as the centrepiece of a mid-sized play space where a full-scale ship would not fit. Colours, panel graphics and deck modules can be customised, and our team can prepare a site plan showing the safety zone and softfall extents for your space.
