Specifications

Beacon Point is built around a tall twin-roofed central tower, with two stacked hip roofs that give the unit a strong vertical presence and real shade over the upper deck. It is a high-capacity structure designed for busy sites — schools, parks and district-level playgrounds where a single centrepiece has to keep a large group of children moving. Two full-height spiral tube slides exit the tower in opposite directions, so children can queue and slide from either side without crossing paths. A wide double-lane wave slide runs off the lower deck for younger or less confident climbers, and a shorter open slide gives a third, lower-level exit. Splitting the exits across three heights is what keeps a structure this size flowing rather than bottlenecking at one point. Climbing access is deliberately varied. An angled rope-and-bar climbing ramp leads up to the lower deck, a moulded log-wall panel offers a grippier scramble route, and a full-height rope climber runs up through the centre of the tower inside a vertical bar enclosure — a protected climb that rewards children who want the top level. A domed bubble window set into the tower wall gives a look-out point partway up. The tower occupies a 7.8 x 6.2 m footprint and stands 5.9 m to the top of the upper roof, with a required safety zone of 11.80 x 9.20 m. Kidzspace supplies, installs and certifies the unit to AS 4685, with AS 4422 softfall specified to the equipment's fall height.

Common questions

What age is the Beacon Point suitable for?

The Beacon Point is designed for 5+ years.

Is the Beacon Point safe and Australian-standards compliant?

Yes. Like all Kidzspace equipment, it's designed and built to AS 4685, with softfall surfacing to AS 4422. Independent certification is available on request.

How much space do I need for the Beacon Point?

Allow for its safety zone of 11.80 x 9.20 m — this includes the clear, softfall-surfaced fall area around the equipment.

Do you deliver and install the Beacon Point across Australia?

Yes — we design, deliver and install nationwide with our own team, and hand over full compliance certification at completion.

Can the Beacon Point be customised?

Colours and theming can be tailored to suit your site or brand — talk to us about the options.

How much does the Beacon Point cost?

Your final price is a fixed quote tailored to your site, surfacing and installation — request a free quote for an exact figure.

What's included in the price?

Every fixed-price quote is itemised and covers the equipment, compliant softfall surfacing (AS 4422), site preparation, delivery, installation by our own crew, and independent compliance certification at handover. Optional extras like shade sails, fencing and landscaping are quoted as separate line items so you can see exactly where your budget goes.

How long does delivery and installation take?

We'll turn around a free 2D/3D concept design within a week or two of your brief. Custom-manufactured equipment then typically takes around 10–12 weeks to build — our in-stock Quick Supply range skips that wait entirely. Installation itself usually takes 3–14 days depending on the scope. All up, most projects run 8–16 weeks from enquiry to completed installation.

What warranty applies?

25 years on hot-dip galvanised structural steel, 15 years on powder-coated steel, HDPE, HPL and timber, 10 years on stainless steel and platforms, 5 years on plastic, rubber, rope and springs, and 2 years on moving parts and bearings.

Why it works

Play value built in

Active, physical play

Climbing, swinging, sliding and spinning build strength, balance and coordination — keeping kids moving and engaged.

Social & sharing

Shared play encourages turn-taking, cooperation and making friends — the social skills that grow alongside the fun.

Skill development

Problem-solving, imaginative play and sensory exploration support cognitive development through play, not pressure.

Inclusive by design

We plan for mixed abilities and age groups so more children can play together, side by side.
